Welcome to Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Maryland, Iota Omega Chapter.

Real Women. Real Fun. Real Sisterhood. Zeta sisterhood reminds us of what was once the inspiration of our founders over 100 years ago. It is now the bond that we share with every Zeta sister where there is laughter, friendship, strength, and support. Our chapter strives in its continuation of recognizing each member with her own individual talents. The strong sisterhood that exists provides a chance for every member to have fun at the activities that will develop into friendships that last a lifetime. Sisterhood is the tie that bonds us, the tie that keeps us, the tie that strengthens us.

IOTA OMEGA

The Iota Omega Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded at the University of Maryland in January 1990. The first official rush events were held at the local agricultural fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho. The first initation was held on March 3, 1990, which had a new member class of over 90 sisters. Before gaining our current house on 12 Fraternity Row, the sisters held meetings in the Union.
